Sailing Experience & Certificates:
If chartering
bareboat (or on flotilla), the skipper should ideally hold an
International Certificate of Competence or equivalent (eg an RYA
Day Skipper Practical course completion certificate). One
member of the party should be competent to serve in the role of
crew.
A statement of
relevant sailing experience may be sufficient for chartering in
the Caribbean and some destinations in the Mediterranean.
To charter in
Croatia, one member of the charter party must hold a VHF radio
operator's certificate. |
