Learn
to Sail / Skippered Charter |
If you don't have the
necessary experience to skipper your own yacht or if you would like
to learn more about sailing or just relax on your sailing holiday, the following options
are available for your charter:
Sail on the flotilla lead boat in Bodrum, Turkey
For just £370 per person
per week, you can sail on the flotilla lead boat from Bodrum in
Turkey. The flotilla runs from Saturday to Saturday from 21 May to
10 September 2011.
Be involved in the sailing, or just relax and
enjoy the cruise and atmosphere of the flotilla. A contribution will
need to be made to the yacht's kitty to cover food on board, fuel
and mooring fees.

Charter a yacht with a skipper
From any sailing
location, it's possible to charter a yacht with a skipper. Simply
pay the 'bareboat' fee and then the appropriate supplement for
the number of days that the skipper will be on board.
Prices for the
skipper are around £120 per day. You will need to charter a yacht
big enough to accommodate your party + the skipper and you will need
to provide food for the skipper. Be involved in the sailing, or
simply relax and enjoy the cruise.

Sail
with an American Sailing Association Coach in the Caribbean
From all Caribbean
destinations except Martinique, you can charter a yacht with an ASA
qualified instructor. Choose your yacht and pay the 'bareboat' price
with a supplement of $165 per day + food for the instructor;
remember to charter a yacht big enough to accommodate your party +
the instructor.
The ASA programme has
structured levels of sailing standards. Students receive a Logbook
that records sailing experience and lists the standards achieved.
Your logbook is signed and stamped so that any charter or rental
fleet operator can see your level of competency. Course materials
are purchased at a supplement of $60 to $80 per person.
